ELISA SEDNAOUI DELLAL
FOUNDER, CEO
Elisa Sednaoui Dellal is an Italian, French, and Egyptian social entrepreneur. Raised between Europe and Egypt and now based in the United States, Elisa’s passion for education, cultural exchange, and integration led her to found Funtasia, a global initiative focused on reimagining education through a character-building lens.
Elisa began her career in fashion and cinema at a young age. Having worked with some of the most prestigious brands and professionals in these fields, including Chanel, Armani, Missoni, Buccellati, and Oscar winner Paolo Sorrentino, she became a muse to Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Louboutin, who even dedicated a handbag in her name. In 2015, she was appointed godmother of the Venice Film Festival, before transitioning fully into the world of education and social entrepreneurship. Here, she found her purpose.
In 2013, Elisa chose to focus on social impact by launching Funtasia, which today operates across Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the USA. The organization designs and delivers experiential educational programs for children, parents, and educators, with a focus on social-emotional learning, self-awareness, and expressive communication. These soft skills are essential for helping young people navigate the challenges of today’s world—including the pressures of technology—and to prepare them for the job market of tomorrow, while improving their overall quality of life.
In 2022, Elisa co-authored her first bestselling book, Nobody Can Hurt You Without Your Permission, with linguistic intelligence expert Paolo Borzacchiello. The book supports adolescents and adults in cultivating self-esteem, self-awareness, and more meaningful human connection through accessible cognitive-behavioral tools. It has been translated into French, Arabic, Serbian, with the English edition coming soon.
Today, Elisa continues to expand Funtasia’s global impact and is also completing her first university degree in business psychology.
