In July 2023, Funtasia participated in the International Summer School (ISSUV) at Universidad Veracruzana, equipping over 70 educators and facilitators with tools to create inclusive learning spaces for migrants. This two-day workshop in Xalapa, Mexico, focused on human mobility, migrant rights, and education, integrating experiential strategies to foster resilience and belonging.

Through art, storytelling, and socio-emotional learning, participants explored self-awareness, emotional regulation, and community-building as essential skills for working with migrant populations. Hands-on activities reinforced the importance of safe spaces and creative facilitation in supporting individuals through change and transition.

This collaboration reflects Funtasia’s commitment to education as a bridge to connection, empowerment, and human dignity.

Proof of Concept: Funtasia’s Training with UCLA School of Education and Information Studies

From September to December 2024, Funtasia partnered with UCLA School of Education and Information Studies to deliver an immersive, experiential training for 20 educators, counsellors, and educational professionals from Los Angeles.

Workshop for Police Officers in Mexico

Conducted in collaboration with the Emiliano Zapata Police Group, the workshop aimed to enhance self-awareness and emotional management among law enforcement leaders.Held for 20 police officers from the Municipality of Emiliano Zapata, Mexico, marking a crucial step towards promoting emotional well-being.

First School in the U.S.

Funtasia ran for Los Angeles’ Larchmont Charter School in May 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, a cross-cultural program connecting the students with fellow students attending the Escuela Primaria México in Xalapa, Mexico. The program was part of the school’s Spanish offering and initiated intercontinental relationships and communication during a time when schools and borders were closed.

Feelings and Thoughts Manuals for the first Contemporary Art Biennale in Saudi Arabia

Funtasia was commissioned by the very first Contemporary Art Bienniale taking place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia to develop 3 ad-hoc Educational Kits for families, guides, and school teachers.

An International Creative Kids Winter Camp in Saudi Arabia

In January 2022, Funtasia Enterprise partnered with the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale in Saudi Arabia to develop and implement 2 week-long camps for 80 students aged 4 to 13, built around the main themes of the art exhibition.
